Wednesday Ratings Report: Anderson Cooper Surges At 10pm, Nipping At Greta’s Heels

Anderson Cooper
‘s AC 360 had a stellar night in the ratings on Wednesday, and came exceptionally close to overtaking Greta Van Susteren‘s On The Record in the demo.

Another honorable mention for the night was Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor, which nearly beat NBC’s Rock Center. The two shows were separated by only 60,000 viewers, a stat made even more astounding by the fact that Rock Center was available in 17 million more homes.

Here are the rest of your Wednesday night ratings:

Why does MSNBC rerun Chris Matthews just one hour after the first run??

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_45S32GWGDRUJIL6E2U4HOZW4BM Bob

Greta the Scientologist will have to summon the full power of L. Ron Hubbard to ward off Anderson.
    Hail Greta! Hail Xenu!

I thought BriWi’s Rock Center was moved to 9PM because O’Reilly had already beaten it in the 8PM hour.

Teabagging Cooper was close in the demo, but lags way behind in the totals.

    WOW!
I don’t check these numbers out that often, but the White House can’t like this chart!
    LMAO!

    Oh please!
I apologize for digressing from topic, but Romney is on C-Span right now.
He’s great on all the issues, with good explanations, but I’m afraid he inspires NO ONE, and will be up against it with Mr. Deception!

     Tina,
What do you think of CNN’s shows, as far as who’s fair, who’s not; which ones you find yourself liking, etc.?

Why does everyone beat up on Scientology?
Seems like a harmless enough following.

Total viewers Greta has over double…. that is nipping?

In Mediaite language if your close enough to sniff the droppings of FOX you get headlines.

    HUH?????

I just click around to CNN, don’t have any show I watch particularly.  I used to watch them all the time, but when Campbell Brown attacked Palin as an unfit mother and then she and Wolf got on the air and lied about it, I quit them.  It was one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen on a network that used to have a reputation of “news” reporting.  After that I lost all trust in them as a viable and credible source of news.

    hahahahaha…..i guess you don’t really know……

  • sid_id

I guess I really don’t know either….would you be willing to explain it? I have only visited their website and didn’t find anything offensive there.

I don’t get home until 7:00 pm or so, thus I watch the second go-round.  The 5:00 pm showing may be for retired folks or those who do the early shift and get home around 5:00.  That used to include me.  I got up before dawn, and as I got ready for work, I listened to Rachel Maddow on Air America via its 30,000-watt transmitter output New York city station (utilizing an efficient directional antenna aimed northeast, it was as good as a 50,000-watt station where I live).   By repeating it shortly after the first airing, MSNBC gets more bang for the buck.  If there’s ever a breaking story, Chris often hangs around and does it live (without cursing the way O’Reilly did when he had to do it live).

    Stop the presses…

Wow, Laurence, you are the one!

The now defunct Air America’s one listener has now been identified!

  • ClarkFL

He was talking about the 25-54 demographic. She is still winning in total numbers, along with the other Fox shows. Cooper’s show was the only one to even get past 300k in the demo. Its good numbers for him, though. MSNBC can’t do that and can rarely get a million viewers on any of their shows.
