Who Should Replace Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy on The View?

The View is going to look very different in the near future. Last night, we learned not only that Sherri Shepherd has decided to “move on” from The View after seven years. In an apparent show of solidarity, Jenny McCarthy said that “if Sherri goes,” she goes too.

ABC News quickly issued a statement of its own, teasing an “exciting new direction” for The View next season, saying the show would “evolve creatively.” But if you listen to TMZ’s sources, both women were fired.

With Barbara Walters semi-retired, that leaves Whoopi Goldberg as the only remaining permanent host of The View. Assuming ABC does not decide to rename the show Whoopi, they are going to need to hire some new co-hosts. Given the fact that the show has been featuring more and more male guest hosts, we’re guessing that the “exciting new direction” could mean more men on the show.

Below is a look at some likely candidates, sticking to people who have appeared on the show in some capacity in the past and could be getting the call the make things official very soon.
