Wolf Blitzer Confronts GOP Senator on Why Cruz’s Colleagues Dislike Him So Much

Wolf Blitzer confronted Republican senator (and Marco Rubio supporter) James Risch about why Ted Cruz‘s Senate colleagues don’t like him and none of them have endorsed him.

Risch hedged and said, “We’ll let the people who are watching this make their own judgment.”

Blitzer pressed him on Cruz’s lack of support from his own colleagues. Risch simply said that there’s “no comparison” between Cruz and Rubio, because Rubio has “something unique” and “carries the right stuff.”

Minutes later, Blitzer tried again. Risch said that he suspects not a single senator will end up supporting Cruz in the end, but would not say why except that “people are looking for a leader.”
