Nikki Haley’s son went after Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) during a rally in South Carolina for betraying his mother by endorsing former President Donald Trump.
Nalin Haley spoke to his mother’s supporters during a campaign stop in Gilbert, South Carolina by directing his anger towards Scott, who days before the New Hampshire primary, announced his support for the GOP frontrunner.
“Senator Judas — excuse me, Senator Scott,” Nalin said, according to Washington Post reporter Dylan Wells.

Supporters of Haley see Scott’s endorsement as a betrayal to former South Carolina governor because she appointed Scott to the U.S. Senate back in 2012 following the retirement of Republican Sen. Jim DeMint.
Scott dropped out of the Republican primary back in November, but announced his endorsement for Trump just before the crucial New Hampshire primary.
After Haley’s son made his comment, she reportedly said as a joke after taking back the microphone, “Nalin, I will deal with you later.”
Moreover, Scott’s office responded to the jab by noting that members of his family would never attack or refer to Haley in such a negative way on the public stage.
“You’d never hear Ms. Frances or anyone from the Scott family talk like that,” responds Scott spokesperson @NathanBrandWA. https://t.co/hxrfOAJ7PH
