Kevin Smith was admitted to a Southern California hospital late Sunday night after suffering what he is calling a “massive heart attack.”
The Clerks director posted a picture of himself on Instagram and explained that he canceled his second standup performance on Sunday night after feeling nauseous at the end of the first.
“I threw up a little but it didn’t seem to help,” Smith said. “Then I started sweating buckets and my chest felt heavy. Turns out I had a massive heart attack.”
Smith reports that the doctor at the ER told him that he had 100 percent blockage of his LAD artery.
“If I hadn’t canceled the second show to go to the hospital, the Doc said I would’ve died tonight,” he said.
