Who is Stormy Daniels? Meet The Porn Star Trump May Have Paid to Keep Sex Affair Secret

Everyone’s favorite Trump lawyer Michael Cohen reportedly arranged a $130,000 payment to a former porn star one month before the 2016 election to keep her quiet about a sex affair with Donald Trump.

That’s according to a bombshell report from the Wall Street Journal that dropped Friday afternoon.

Per the report, Cohen arranged a $130,000 payment to Stephanie Clifford a month before the 2016 election to sign a nondisclosure agreement keeping her quiet about the relationship, just as Trump found himself dogged by a number of other allegations of sexual misconduct. The affair with Trump allegedly took place in 2006, when Trump was married to his third wife Melania. According to people familiar with the matter, the encounter happened at a July 2006 Lake Tahoe golf tournament.

So who is Stephanie Clifford?

Fans of her work might recognize her as Stormy Daniels. Or Stormy Waters. Or, simply Stormy.

Stormy is a remarkably accomplished performer, having won an Adult Video News award and been a contract star for porn powerhouse Wicked Pictures. Her greatest hits include Space Nuts, Good Will Humping, Porking with Pride #2, Spreading My Seed and Ron Jeremy on the Loose: Atlantic City.

She’s also acted some big mainstream pictures, from The 40 Year-Old Virgin to Knocked Up.

After retiring from the adult film industry, Stormy had a daughter in 2011 with then-boyfriend — and fellow performer — Glendon Crain.

What’s more, the rumors of her relations with Trump are not a new revelation. The Smoking Gun even gossiped about their affair, claiming it started at the Lake Tahoe golf tournament in 2006, as Melania “was at home with the couple’s four-month-old son.”

Per TSG:

The photo op between the married billionaire and the porn star would be the start of a relationship that would prompt whispers in the adult film community, according to TSG sources. In fact, Clifford confided to friends that she engaged in a sexual affair with Trump, whom she claimed had promised to help her get cast on “The Apprentice” or another TV show.

Oh boy.

And as it turns out, like Trump the entertainment star is not without political ambitions of her own: in 2010, she flirted with a run against Louisiana Sen. David Vitter — whose political career was eventually torpedoed thanks to his involvement in a prostitution ring — on a tax reform platform.
