Did Food & Wine Just Leak the Top Chef Winner?

If you watch Top Chef religiously, you know they have a partnership with Food & Wine. In the opening credits to the show, you can hear Padma Lakshmi say, “The winner will receive $125,000 furnished by San Pellegrino, a feature in Food & Wine magazine, a showcase at the Annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen and the title of ‘Top Chef.'”

So, why has Chef’s Club by Food & Wine announced that Jeremy Ford will be at their restaurant on Friday, March 18th, one day after the finale?

The restaurant posted this photo on their Instagram account today:

Friday March 18th: @chefjeremyford, Executive Chef of @chefjgv’s @matadorroom in Miami and a contestant on this season’s @bravotopchef, comes to Chefs Club. They could have a finalist. But isn’t it more likely that one day after the finale, Chef’s Club by Food & Wine has dibs on the winner’s first appearance?
