Joe Bastianich Releases New Book: Restaurant Man

Lidia Bastianich‘s son Joe has released his first industry publication, but a cookbook it is not. Instead, Restaurant Man is a potty-mouthed guide to opening a restaurant and the skills needed to work the front of the house. (Hmm, perhaps this should be mandatory reading for wannabe Restaurant Wars cheftestants?) The son of two restaurateurs, Joe is also Mario Batali‘s silent partner and has shares in a number of the his and his mother’s ventures. Of course, we wouldn’t be talking about the book if it didn’t cover our very favorite subject: feuds! In it, Bastianich also chronicles his long-standing beef with restaurant critics John Mariani and Steve Cuozzo.
