Land O’Lakes Will Feed America’s Hungry if You Delete Your Food Porn Pics
Haters, rejoice. Land O’Lakes is ending hunger and also relieving you of having to look at a steady stream of photos of avocado toast day in and day out.
The butter company has launched a new campaign called Delete to Feed. According to he campaign’s website, “Instagram is full of food posts, but millions of Americans go hungry each year. For each food post you delete, Land O’Lakes will donate 11 meals to Feeding America.”
All you have to do is sign up and connect your Instagram account, and start deleting. Once you’re connected, your account will be tracked and every post you delete will be donated. The campaign will either run through mid-October, or when Land O’Lakes reaches its goal of 2.75 million meals. Currently, there are 98,652,390 posts on the platform with the hashtag #foodporn and countless other photos of sushi burritos, rainbow bagels, and crazy milkshakes without the tag. There are a ton of photos to be deleted.
It’s worth noting that the Land O’Lakes Instagram feed is primarily food. No word on whether they’re planning to delete.
