WATCH: Michael Symon Smacks Josh Elliott With A Spatula On GMA

Michael Symon’s latest cookbook is called Carnivore, and he visited GMA this morning to promote it and some of its recipes — and, naturally, Josh Elliot decided to get a little handsy in the demo. But instead of getting caught with his paws in the cookie jar, he got busted sneaking a Greek/Italian meatball (Michael’s mom’s recipe, with a blended culture twist) before Michael was finished explaining it.

A quick thwack of the spatula shooed Josh away (or at least out of frame), while Michael continued to perform in his best Greek accent (apparently ‘do not fear the coriander’ is a thing they say in Greece a lot).

Michael admitted that, along with how to cook meatballs, his mother taught him how to spank. Well… that’s… you know what? Just watch the clip.
