Top Chef All Star Mike Isabella Opens Bandolero In DC

He may have failed to snag a spot on the cast list of Life After Top Chef, but All-Star Mike Isabella is doing just fine for himself in Washington, DC. He just opened up a Day of the Dead-themed, small plates Mexican joint called Bandolero on M Street.

Mike pontificated, “When I go out for Mexican food, I want lots of tacos and strong margaritas.” Thus, Bandolero was born, and it’s got both. The restaurant features an eponymous marg, goat confit queso fundido, made-to-order guac (served with pork rinds!), taco fillings such as octopus and suckling pig, and a margarita cake for dessert. Um, you had us at Mexican restaurant, Mike.
