WATCH: South Africa Bans Horrible Anti-Immigrant Chicken Ad

Every time the chicken chain Nando’s Peri-Peri runs a new ad, we prepare to feel the following emotions: marvel, disgust, a sadness for the human race, despair over the fact that we really, really love their chicken (which, for all us Americans, is only available in the DC area), and a tiny bit of astonishment that they continue to make them.

And just when we thought we were starting a good dialogue about the multicultural influences on food, they come along and say “You know what’s wrong with South Africa? All you foreigners.” The South African government pulled the ad off the airwaves, but this is like, the fifth time they’ve done this. We’re gonna curl up in the corner and stare at a spider for a bit. You guys figure out what the heck they’re trying to say. We’re stumped.
