Is There A Brooklyn Episode Of No Reservations In The Works?

If the Brooklyn-based Twitterverse isn’t already aflame with news that Anthony Bourdain ate at Roberta’s with Talib Kweli yesterday, the fact that he, a camera crew, and The Wire’s Michael K. Williams spent last night at Gloria’s West Indian Food in Crown Heights should get the ball thoroughly rolling.

Bourdain, ever the tease, has been tweeting out photos of himself with Brooklyn-based artists in non-trendy locations. The image above shows him, Williams, and his Wire costar Jamie Hector chilling in an undisclosed location presumably in the borough, and a member of the crew posted this photo of Williams in front of Allan’s Quality Bakery, home of delicious West Indian coconut rolls.

This isn’t the first time The Wirehas collaborated with No Reservations: in 2009, Bourdain filmed an episode in Baltimore featuring some of the actors involved in what he called “the greatest series in the history of television.” Later, when the series creator David Simon moved onto the New Orleans-based series Treme, Bourdain jumped at the opportunity to write for the show. And who better to show Bourdain around Brooklyn than Williams, whose portrayal of Omar Little on The Wire won praise from the likes of Barack Obama?

Though it looks like the episode may highlight areas of Brooklyn from which the cast of HBO’s Girls would run screaming, Bourdain has yet to fulfill our dream for an episode of No Reservations where he hurls flaming Chicken McNuggets at hipsters from a rooftop bar.
