Stewart has been doing live events on Facebook for a little while, and several other celebrities, including Ricky Gervais have embraced the new feature. It’s a new way for public figures to connect with fans in real time, on video, making it more intimate than Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat. You’re also able to ask questions, and Stewart answers some of them. From Iowa to Istanbul, fans have tuned in to watch, and questions and comments appear in a live feed.
