WATCH: Scott Conant Actually Makes an Easy Dinner on The Today Show
You know how when someone, particularly a celebrity chef tells you that a recipe is “so easy” it usually involves four grocery stores, 12 ingredients you’ve never heard of, and one ferry to a super specific plot of land where you can forage for a vegetable only grown one day out of the year that will kill you if you slice it incorrectly? Yeah, same.
Scott Conant appeared on NBC’s Today this morning and demonstrated a pan roasted chicken recipe with things you definitely already have in your home, and if you don’t, you can get them at pretty much any grocery store. Watching the segment was oddly refreshing.
The chef’s appearance on the show comes in advance of a new restaurant he’s opening in Chelsea soon. He described the place as a pasta-centric cafe, and it’s opening on 27th between 6th and 7th, a food wasteland that is slowly but surely being improved with a recent influx of restaurant openings.
