Greg Gutfeld Clowns Howard Kurtz On His Last Day as Fox News Host for Saying Charlie Kirk ‘Was Not a Saint’

Fox News star Greg Gutfeld could not hold back from mocking colleague Howard Kurtz on Sunday, after Kurtz said political violence was “not unique” to Democrats or Republicans and that slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk was “not a saint.”
Kurtz made those comments just hours earlier during his final episode hosting MediaBuzz. They were clipped and shared to X soon after — where they caught Gutfeld’s attention.
“Maybe we can tune in next week for a clarification…oh wait…” Gutfeld posted.
He was clearly poking fun at Kurtz, after Fox News announced this week MediaBuzz was being replaced by a new show hosted by Fox News White House correspondents Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich. Kurtz had been hosting the media criticism program each Sunday for the last 12 years; he will remain at Fox News as a political and media analyst, as well as the host of MediaBuzz’s podcast.
The veteran reporter, while signing off from his show for the final time on Sunday, said he enjoyed that he was often criticized for being pro-President Donald Trump and anti-Trump, “often for the same comments.”
The comments about Kirk were only the latest recent examples of Kurtz challenging the widely accepted conservative viewpoint. Last month, he said “not much was accomplished” by President Trump’s Alaskan summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and in July, he said the president’s lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal was drawing more attention to the report he penned a “bawdy” letter to Jeffrey Epstein.
