James Murdoch has resigned from the board of News Corp.

His resignation letter states, “My resignation is due to disagreements over certain editorial content published by the Company’s news outlets and certain other strategic decisions.”

News Corp’s assets include The Wall Street Journal and The New York Post. James’ brother Lachlan is the current executive chairman and CEO of Fox Corp.

Back in January, a spokesperson for James and his wife Kathryn gave a statement to The Daily Beast saying, “Kathryn and James’ views on climate are well established and their frustration with some of the News Corp and Fox coverage of the topic is also well known. They are particularly disappointed with the ongoing denial among the news outlets in Australia given obvious evidence to the contrary.”

Earlier this month James and Kathryn reportedly donated over $1 million to the Biden campaign-Democratic party joint fundraising committee.
