‘Bullsh*t!’ Jim Acosta Torches Punishment Of Trump-Heckler Al Green — Rips 10 Democrats Who Voted For It
Substack host Jim Acosta ripped the GOP House censure of Rep. Al Green (D-TX) for heckling President Donald Trump — and the Democrats who voted for the “performative bullshit!”
Trump delivered a 99-minute address to a joint session of Congress Tuesday night — essentially a State of the Union address by a different name — that was chock full of memorable and newsworthy moments. One such moment was Green’s heckling of Trump and removal by the Sergeant at Arms, which has resulted in the GOP-led House voting to censure Green.
On Thursday’s edition of the Substack video podcast The Jim Acosta Show, Acosta was joined by Never Trump activist and former Republican strategist Rick Wilson and MSNBC analyst Molly Jong-Fast .
Acosta told his guests “I still can’t get over” the punishment Green received:
JIM ACOSTA: I still can’t get over this. The House voted 224 to 198 to censure Al Green for disrupting Trump’s joint address to Congress this week. You know, he had the cane and all of that.
And, you know, to me, it’s like, okay, I know we’ve had the discussion, all of us about Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert and so on, you know, but Donald Trump doesn’t get censured for calling Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas.”.
And it’s like, you know, I mean, I guess this is all Congress can do at this point. This is all performative bullshit!
MOLLY JONG-FAST: You go Rick.
RICK WILSON: Yeah, I know. I just I just find the whole the whole lesson Democrats should learn occasionally is shut the fuck up and form a shield wall like Republicans do! Like don’t even accept the premise of their bullshit.
MOLLY JONG-FAST: Yeah.
RICK WILSON: Fuck you! We’re out of the room! You know let the Republicans have a party line vote on this. It becomes nothing. Yeah, some of these Democrats are like, “I’m in a marginal district, and I’ve got to be nice.”.
No you don’t.
MOLLY JONG-FAST: It’s stupid. Yeah.
JIM ACOSTA: Ten Democrats voted with this. Ten Democrats voted with this apparently!
RICK WILSON: Yeah, yeah, I.
MOLLY JONG-FAST: Just I I’m going with Rick on this and it’s just stupid and like, it is that thing where they open the door to just, you know, well, we may not be right.
And this is the thing again, like, this is the thing that I get mad at Democrats for all the time, right? Is they’re more concerned about their message than getting their message out.
They want it to– want to get it perfectly. And nobody gives a fuck, right? Like. And so they don’t.
JIM ACOSTA: Perfect is out the window.
MOLLY JONG-FAST: Yeah. Yeah. And so you have like, you know you have Jeffries you know being like it’s Captain Chaos. It’s like, no. Just talk!
