The Dallas Morning News is getting serious criticism for a report published Thursday evening that amplified the complaints of Senator Ted Cruz’s 13-year-old daughter about her father.
Apparently, Cruz’s daughter took to TikTok and answered questions live and revealed that she did not agree with her father’s politics and also shared personal feelings about growing up in the Cruz household.
Most reasonable people would argue that there are very few 13-year-old children that openly agree with their parents, particularly one with such a public political profile as the senator from Texas. And while there is likely some partisan interest in her thoughts, she is THIRTEEN years old and perhaps it might be better to just let this story go?
Or at least that’s the reaction by many blue-checked Twitter accounts, many from a more conservative point of view, who lamented what they saw as a really poor editorial decision in bringing this story to light. The TikTok account of Cruz’s daughter has since been made private.
