Florida Democratic Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) sounded the alarm on Wednesday after a new poll from the Daily Mail found a large percentage of young Americans have a positive view of Osama Bin Laden.

“20 percent of young people have a positive view of Bin Laden. While we focus on enhancing our physical borders we must also realize Foreign countries have infiltrated our kids minds through online propaganda,” wrote Moskowitz on X/Twitter while sharing the poll.

The Daily Mail, which is a right-of-center British tabloid, added in its write-up of its poll, “The alarming survey also found three in 10 Gen Z voters believe the views of the anti-Semitic terrorist leader who slaughtered thousands of innocent people were a ‘force for good.’”

The poll was conducted by J.L. Partners and included a sampling size of 1,000 Americans. James Johnson, the founder of J.L. Partners, told DailyMail.com for its summary of the poll,“It is hard to avoid the conclusion that there is a cancer in the American body politic: a small but sizeable group of its youngest voters.”

“Polling has found that 18-29-year-olds are most likely to deny the Holocaust and, in our October Daily Mail poll we found that Gen Z Americans are more likely to sympathize with Hamas. And now we have this on Osama Bin Laden, the man behind the biggest attack on American soil in its history,” Johnson added.

Bin Laden made headlines in mid-November when his terror manifesto titled “Letter to America” appeared to go viral on TikTok. TikTok banned the searches for the document and released a statement saying, “Content promoting this letter clearly violates our rules on supporting any form of terrorism. We are proactively and aggressively removing this content and investigating how it got onto our platform. The number of videos on TikTok is small and reports of it trending on our platform are inaccurate. This is not unique to TikTok and has appeared across multiple platforms and the media.”

Bin Laden’s letter “condemns U.S. support for Israel and accuses Americans of aiding the oppression of Palestinian people,” reported NBC News on the document, which also includes deeply anti-Semitic, sexist, and homophobic language. The letter also tries to justify Bin Laden’s targeting of civilians.
