Devastating Set of Polls Shows Trump Comfortably Ahead of Biden in 7 Most Important Swing States

A new set of swing state polls from Bloomberg and the Morning Consult suggests that former President Donald Trump would comfortably beat former President Joe Biden if the 2024 election were held today.

According to the seven separate surveys conducted in North Carolina, Nevada, Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Arizona, Trump boasts leads in every single one.

Trump’s widest margin of victory would come in the only one of those states that he won in 2020, North Carolina (+10), followed by Nevada and Georgia (+8), Wisconsin and Michigan (+5), and then Pennsylvania and Arizona (+3). Trump prevailed in all seven states back in 2016, but lost every one except for the Tar Heel State four years later.

Last month, the same pollster measured public opinion in the same states and found Trump was leading in all of them. This month’s iteration suggests that the gap between the two has grown in every single state except for Arizona, where it contracted by a single point.

Ultimately, the election is likely to be decided on the results in these 7 and potentially a few other competitive, battleground states. Biden’s ascension to the White House in 2020 was predicated upon his small, and in some cases infinitesimal victories in them.

The RealClearPolitics average of national polls pitting Biden against Trump also indicate that the latter is in the process of extending his lead over the former. On October 31 of last year, Trump outpaced Biden by just 0.7%. Now his average margin of victory is 3.9%.

When Biden beat Trump four years ago, he won the national popular vote by 4.5%.
