Eric Trump Claims ‘The Bullets Are Only Going One Way’ in Fiery Interview

A fuming Eric Trump claimed repeatedly on Benny Johnson’s podcast that political violence only goes “one way” in the United States — toward Republicans.

“Benny, the bullets are only going one way in this country,” Trump said during a discussion about conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s recent murder on a Utah college campus. Trump then recounted the assassination attempts against his own father’s life.

“You know, I saw my father — I was watching with my two children on my lap. One of them’s eighth birthday is today, he was six at the time — when a bullet nearly took out my father’s head, right?” recalled Trump. “Then I get the call and I’m driving 50 yards away from the guy as he’s getting arrested, Thomas Crooks, on 95. My best friend arrested the guy who tried to assassinate my father the second time. I write about it in the book.”

Thomas Crooks was actually shot and killed by authorities shortly after he fired a bullet at the president in Butler, PA., in July 2024. Ryan Routh is the man who was arrested outside Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach in Sept. 2024. He has pleaded not guilty and is currently representing himself at trial.

Eric Trump continued:

We were actually — you know, a big hobby of mine is actually shooting. We were shooting together, my buddy was a sheriff…he was part of the Palm Beach SWAT team He was driving south on 95, we had just left each other. And my best friend was the guy who arrested the second guy who tried to kill my father as I drove by him with the guy’s hands out the window.

And then we see what happened to Steve Scalise, and then we see what almost happened to [Brett] Kavanaugh, and then we see what happens to Charlie Kirk. I mean, the bullets are only flying one way. And yet, I get to hear the nonsense, and I get to watch the networks every night, you know, posts, tweets from Nancy Pelosi about how deeply sorry she is. And yet you know when Lauren Boebert proposed the prayer on the floor of the House, they laughed.

And yet, we get to see these nonsense tweets get posted by every network? I’m sick and tired of it. You know, we’re all pissed, you’re pissed, everybody’s pissed. We’re sad, we’re angry. But how is it the decorum is only going one way in this country and yet we’re the ones that are labeled as a fascist Isn’t that ironic? Hey, the Republicans in this country are generally the ones that have the guns. We’re the ones that believe in the 2nd Amendment. You know, they’re not the ones that are doing the shooting.
