GOP Congressman Threatens Iran: If You Don’t Negotiate With Trump, ‘We Will Turn You Into a Parking Lot’

A Republican congressman threatened Iran in stark terms on Newsmax Thursday — saying that if they refuse to negotiate with President Donald Trump, the U.S. will turn them into a “parking lot.”

Appearing on Newsmax’s Wake Up America, Rep. Addison McDowell (R-NC) was blunt — amid the latest round of U.S. strikes

“What we had for the last four years before President Trump was back in office was massive weakness,” McDowell said. “No one was afraid of America. They bullied us. They tried to take advantage of us. But peace through strength is back in the White House.

“And Iran needs to understand something very clearly: If you do not negotiate with the president and you continue to try to kill American troops, and build bombs, and build missiles that you’re going to use to attempt to kill Americans, we will turn you into a parking lot.”

The former lobbyist and current congressman argued the U.S. has the leverage in the conflict.

“Iran has no navy, they cannot control the Strait of Hormuz,” he said. “We’re not going to let them. They need to understand who holds all the cards. They might try to push the envelope, but we’re driving the mail truck and we’ll run them over.”

Newsmax hosts Sharla McBride and Marc Lotter ate up the tough talk.
