Joe Biden Spotted With Giant Gash on His Head After Skin Cancer Surgery

Former President Joe Biden was spotted in Delaware with a gash on his head over Labor Day weekend, prompting his team to reveal that he had undergone surgery for skin cancer days earlier.

The 82-year-old, who earlier this year revealed he has Stage 4 prostate cancer, was filmed greeting supporters as he left a church service in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, over Labor Day weekend.

A spokesperson later confirmed to NBC News that he had undergone Mohs surgery, a procedure to remove thin layers of cancerous tissue, on Aug. 28.

The sighting followed appearances in late August, including at the funeral of former Delaware Gov. Mike Castle, where Biden was photographed with a bandage.

In May, doctors disclosed the former president’s prostate cancer had spread to his bones, classifying it as aggressive and incurable, though treatable.

At the time, Biden spoke publicly about his diagnosis in a video statement: “Cancer touches us all… Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places.”
