Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem vowed on Friday that the NFL “won’t be able to sleep at night” after the announcement that Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny will perform at the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.

Speaking to conservative commentator Benny Johnson on The Benny Show, Noem was asked about her message to the NFL. “They suck, and we’ll win, and God will bless us,” she said. “They won’t be able to sleep at night because they don’t know what they believe, and they’re so weak. We’ll fix it.”

Johnson also asked Noem if ICE agents will be at the Super Bowl, to which she responded, “Yeah, we’ll be all over that place,” adding that she thinks “people should not be coming to the Super Bowl unless they’re law-abiding Americans who love this country.”

In an interview earlier this month with i-D Magazine, Bad Bunny said he wouldn’t be making any stops in the U.S. during his upcoming tour because he fears ICE would raid his concert venues. He shared an Instagram video in June voicing anger at ICE agents in Puerto Rico, accusing them of failing to “leave these people working here alone.”

“There is nowhere you can provide safe haven to people who are in this country illegally,” said Corey Lewandowski, an advisor to President Donald Trump, during a Wednesday appearance on The Benny Show. “Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else. We will find you and apprehend you and put you in a detention facility and deport you.”

The Super Bowl and Bad Bunny’s halftime performance are scheduled to take place on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, in Santa Clara, CA.
