Marjorie Taylor Greene Tells Fox News Report of Stock Gains in 2023 Were All From ‘My Son’s Account’

Fox News’s Jesse Watters asked controversial Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) about her appearance on a list of members of Congress who earned the most from the stock market in 2024. Greene’s answer was to blame her son.

Watters had on Greene on discuss being “swatted” over the holidays, but ended the interview by asking about her stock trades. Watters noted we “just ran that report, Marjorie, about these congressional stock traders. We found out you did not meet the S&P 500, which I guess maybe you’re proud of, but maybe not so happy about.”

“Well, you know, Jesse, I’m glad you brought that up, because I actually asked my team about that today, why my name was on the list,” Greene replied, adding:

Because I don’t even own any stocks and I haven’t all of 2023. As a matter of fact, we have to report everything, including children who are dependents of ours.

And I think what was reported was actually related to my son’s account that my his father and I had set up for him years ago. So the Unusual Whales is a trading company looking for customers. They’re not always accurate in their reporting. But thank you for bringing that up and letting me address that issue.

“All right. Well, maybe your son will have a better year and we’ll have a chat with Whales,” replied a friendly Watters.
Unusual Whales, a retail stock trading platform founded in 2021, replied to Greene online:

Representative Marjorie Greene has responded to our report!

She has said that her portfolio returns in 2023:
– are her son’s
– and that she does not trade

“However she is disclosed as the owner in most of her public stock disclosures or Joint with her husband. Not her son,” the company added, concluding:

She also famously said war is incredibly profitable before buying war stocks before the Ukraine war.

If she would like, please email me at congress at unusualwhales dot com so I can verify your full portfolio and make amendments.
