Rashida Tlaib Angrily Yells At Fox Reporter Hillary Vaughn Asking About ‘Death to America’ Chants: ‘I DON’T TALK TO FOX!!!’
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) brushed off a Fox Business reporter in a combative fashion on Wednesday when she was asked about people chanting “Death to America” in her home state.
Fox’s Hillary Vaughn was trying to get a comment from Tlaib while reporting from Capitol Hill, but rather than answer the question — or even just ignore Vaughn — Tlaib made it very clear what she thinks about the network, repeatedly shouting, “I don’t talk to Fox News!”
Vaughn kept asking about the chants, which took place in Tlaib’s district, but Tlaib refused to even entertain the possibility of answering.
The chanting occurred during an anti-war rally in Dearborn, Michigan Friday, which was the International Day of Al-Quds, an annual pro-Palestinian event observed on the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Some protestors shouted “Death to America” and some “Death to Israel,” which earned the condemnation of local leaders as well as the White House.
Tlaib is the first Palestinian-American to serve in Congress and has been outspoken and unapologetic about her support for Palestinians in Gaza. Her stance has earned her widespread criticism from the pro-Israel right, including a censure led by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). Fox’s Sean Hannity also accused Tlaib of leading “the Hamas Caucus in Congress.”
