SHOCK POLL: Biden, Who Won the Hispanic Vote By 33 Points in 2020, Now Trails Trump By 5 Among Hispanics

A stunning new poll shows President Joe Biden struggling to win over a key constituency that he dominated in 2020.

According to a new USA Today/Suffolk University poll, the president trails his potential 2024 opponent, former President Donald Trump — a demographic that Biden carried by a wide margin in 2020. In the last election, Biden won the Hispanic vote by a margin of greater than two-to-one — capturing 65 percent to Trump’s 32. But the new poll shows Biden now trailing Trump among Hispanics by a 39-34 margin.

If there is any silver lining to the numbers for Biden, it’s that Trump has only made marginal gains among Hispanic voters. Many of those who have left the Biden camp are opting for a third-party candidate. According to the USA TODAY/Suffolk poll, 20 percent of Hispanic voters say they plan to vote third party — should a Biden-Trump rematch materialize.

The same share of Black voters, 20 percent, also say they will vote third party. And that has contributed to a massive decline in Biden’s poll numbers among Black voters. Back in 2020, the president won 87 percent of the Black vote. The new poll has him getting just 63 percent in 2024.

And Biden is also struggling with young voters. The poll finds Trump pulling in 37 percent of voters under 35, compared to Biden’s 33 percent.

Suffice it to say, it will be awfully difficult for Biden to pull off a victory in 2024 if his numbers in all three of those demographic categories improve dramatically.
