Singer/Songwriter Lee Greenwood Shares ‘Special Christmas Message’ on Fox — That Includes His ‘Three Ways To Preserve Our Nation’
Lee Greenwood, the Grammy-award winning singer/songwriter behind the “Proud to Be An American” anthem played at Trump rallies, shared a “special Christmas message” on Fox News Thursday, as he promoted his own branded version of the Bible.
Fox News’ Harris Faulkner introduced Greenwood’s “three ways to preserve our nation this Christmas: One, family. Two, a return to God, three, immersing ourselves in the origin story of our nation. Talk to us more about these three things,” she said.
“First of all, I think it’s important that we show who we are as Americans, and that is, be an ambassador for our country,” Greenwood said. “Understand about the realism of the border crossings that are illegal and how it impacts us. We have to show our best foot forward and stop the illegal process.” He continued:
Secondly, we need to support our military. With the war in the Ukraine and in Israel, sooner or later we’ll have boots on the ground. It scares me death because I can remember Vietnam. Thirdly, we need to remember this is a Christian nation. The world is watching and this Christmas season we need to acknowledge the fact that we are who we are. We are Christian first, and that’s why if we need to return to faith, it is time to do it now.
I actually have the answer in this book. This is the King James version of the Bible. And proudly I display it with a leather bound covering. In the back of the Bible, we’ve included the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, The Bill of Rights, and the Pledge of Allegiance. So, by ordering this, you can have this on your coffee table and show anyone you are proud to be an American. How’s that?
“Well, it is always important to read the Bible and you reminding us of that is really, really critical, especially right now,” Faulkner said. “From your perspective, this is an emergency. So, what is one thing you would say to anybody watching right now, just in terms of those three things you pointed out?”
“You know, when we’re desperate for an answer, we drop to our knees,” Greenwood said. “I think we know we need to make sure we have faith in our life. And if we can do that, I think we’ll be stronger.”
The “God Bless The USA Bible” is for sale on Greenwood’s website for $59.99.
