The Right Is Not Happy With Fox’s Dana Perino For Introducing ‘The Amazing’ Hillary Clinton at Conference

Fox News anchor Dana Perino is being criticized by some the right for her attendance at a Clinton Global Initiative conference earlier this month, where she introduced “the amazing Secretary Hillary Clinton.”

Perino, who served in George W. Bush’s administration as press secretary, moderated a panel about “Journalism on the Front Lines” before handing the floor over to the former Secretary of State and Democratic nominee for president. She was asked to participate by Fox’s sister outlet, the Wall Street Journal; the Journal‘s Evan Gershkovich has been detained in Russia since March on espionage charges.

Perino appeared on a panel with several others, including Almar Latour, the CEO of the Journal and Jason Rezaian, an opinion columnist at the Washington Post who was imprisoned in Iran for years on false espionage charges. She spoke about the conference on The Five.

The host’s attendance has ruffled the feathers of many on the right.

“Last night’s Fox News-Univision hosted debate was beyond bizarre, with the moderators at a supposedly right wing news network curiously advancing leftist talking points instead of asking questions that are relevant to conservative Americans,” wrote Substack author Jordan Schachtel, who reported on Perino’s appearance at the CGI conference.

“The Dossier has uncovered some information that may offer more clarity as to why that happened. It appears that at least one of the moderators on stage has a special place in her heart for the one and only Hillary R Clinton,” he continued.

Others concurred.

“Unbelievable,” commented Liz Wheeler. “Because Fox & the RNC don’t want authentically conservative politicians. They want uniparty elitists. Gross.”

The implication that Perino’s role at the CGI conference could be linked to her performance was widespread online.

“I thought Dana Perino and her team did a poor job moderating the debate last night. Seemed like they wanted a circus that would make the GOP look stupid,” offered podcaster Josh Power. “Then I woke up this morning and read a post that she was at a Clinton Global Initiative meeting last week.”

“Last night’s GOP debate was an utter farce. DeSantis is the front-runner, yet they ask him zero questions? It’s no accident Fox hasn’t asked one question about COVID—they know what they’re doing,” argued author Michael Senger. “The lead moderator, Dana Perino, was at the Clinton Global Initiative last week.

Influencer and Trump pollster Catturd reacted by declaring “all these people are such losers.”

“Oh?” commented Breitbart News, linking to its own write-up of the event.

As evidence of Perino’s supposed left-wing bias, Breitbart cited the thanks Perino offered to former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley’s husband for his military service.
