The president has entered the chat.
President Donald Trump blasted Gavin Newsom in a late-night tirade, the president’s first anti-Newsom post since the California governor’s social media team launched a snippy troll campaign against the White House.
Posting on Truth Social just after midnight Thursday, Trump slammed Newsom with his familiar moniker for the governor, “Newscum.”
“Gavin Newscum is way down in the polls,” Trump said. “He is viewed as the man who is destroying the once Great State of California. I will save California!!! President DJT”

It’s Trump’s first attack on Newsom since his press office took up the crusade of beaming out Trump-style X posts on the GovPressOffice account.
It took Newsom’s social media team just nine minutes to respond to Trump’s post, with snowflake emojis.
The GovPressOffice has torn into numerous right-leaning figures in Trump’s style of capital letters and nicknames over the last couple of weeks.
Targets have included Fox News’ Dana Perino, the Department of Homeland Security, and, of course, Trump himself.
