Trump Brags Fox News Power Couple Can Eat Out Without Getting ‘Mugged’ Thanks to Him

President Donald Trump bragged to Fox News hosts that he has made it safe for power couple Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt to eat dinner in the capital without getting “mugged” on Tuesday.

The president held high-stakes talks at the White House Monday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders, including a series of White House photo ops. The meetings come days after Trump rolled out the red carpet for Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin in an effort to secure a deal.

Trump’s push also came a week after his takeover of policing in Washington, D.C..

The president called in for a lengthy interview on Tuesday’s edition of Fox & Friends, during which he went on a tangent about the police takeover and his friends Sean and Ainsley:

JONES: Mr. President, you — it’s clear that you have operational control of the border. I mean, when the numbers hit zero —

EARHARDT: Yeah.

JONES: — that is clear for the whole world to see. I’m curious –

TRUMP: Three months in a row.

JONES: Right. Without new laws even having to be passed.

But Mr. President —

TRUMP: Now I’m doing something that I’m having such fun with because I’m helping people. I’m – I’ve made Washington, D.C. a – just an incredible – just an incredible place in literally four days. I have friends that say they’re going out to dinner. Did you see what’s happening with the restaurants? They’re bursting. They were all closing and going bankrupt.

I mean, it would be – I mean, it would be great. There’s a guy named Sean Hannity, he might take a very lovely young lady that he knows very, very well to dinner in Washington, and they don’t have to – they don’t have to – and she’s sitting right next to you, by the way —

JONES: That’s right. Mr. President —

TRUMP: I don’t want to get him in trouble. So I better explain exactly. We don’t want any secrets here.

JONES: That’s exactly right.

TRUMP: But he’s got – that’s the greatest relationship. I hope I’m not breaking any news.

EARHARDT: Thank you.

JONES: No —

TRUMP: This could be the biggest — hey, this could be the most important thing I said, but let me tell you, those are two great — Ainsley and Sean, great people.

And when they go out to dinner, I don’t want to see them get mugged. Now they can go out, they can hold hands, they can walk down the street. They’re both superstars. I want to know who makes more money, because she’s got to be making a lot —

JONES: Mr. President, we’re so happy for them.
