Trump Flat-Out Accuses Obama Of ‘Criminal Acts’ In New Conspiracy Rant To Reporters

President Donald Trump flat-out accused former President Barack Obama of “criminal acts” in a new conspiracy rant to reporters that referenced this week’s document dump from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

It has been almost three weeks since the Trump administration first tried to bury the promised mountain of information on deceased sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein, and the heat just keeps going up. At every turn, Trump’s efforts to quash the story have only intensified interest in it, and deepened Trump’s own association with it.

One strategy has been to change the subject to Trump’s baseless and discredited accusation of “treason” against Obama and his top officials. Gabbard held a briefing at the White House this week to promote a document release that even conservative experts agree does not substantiate the claims.

On Friday morning, Trump spoke to reporters as he departed the White House en route to Turnberry, Scotland. He made several attempts to shift the focus away from himself and Epstein.

When he was asked by Gray Television White House correspondent Jon Decker if the Supreme Court’s presidential immunity would apply to Obama, Trump said there was “no doubt” that Obama committed “criminal acts” and demanded gratitude for the immunity ruling:

JON DECKER: How do you think that the Supreme Court–.

(CROSSTALK)

JON DECKER: Thank you, Mr. President. How do you think that the Supreme Court’s ruling that benefited you on presidential immunity would apply to former President Barack Obama and what you’re accusing him of doing?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: It probably helps him a lot. Probably helps him lot. The immunity ruling.

But it doesn’t help the people around him at all. But it probably helps him a lot.

He’s uh– he’s done criminal acts. There’s no question about it. But he has immunity, and it probably helped him a lot.
