Trump Rages At Democrats In New Attack As He Jets Away From Epstein-Mania To Scotland

President Donald Trump launched a new grenade as he jetted to Scotland amid the uproar over deceased sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein — ranting about an already-discredited attack on the “FireAid” concert.
It has been almost three weeks since the Trump administration first tried to bury the promised mountain of information on deceased sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein, and the heat just keeps going up. At every turn, Trump’s efforts to quash the story have only intensified interest in it, and deepened Trump’s own association with it.
As the week came to a close, Trump was still being peppered with questions about the scandal as he made his way to Turnberry, Scotland and his “Trump Turnberry” resort.
But Trump was undeterred, and launched a new attack on Friday night as his trip began with a rant on his Truth Social account. Trump wrote:
“FIREAID” IS A TOTAL DISASTER. LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER DEMOCRAT INSPIRED SCAM. 100 MILLION DOLLARS IS MISSING. WAS SUPPOSED TO TO GO TO THE LOS ANGELES FIRE VICTIMS, FIRES THAT, WITH PROPER MANAGEMENT, WOULD NEVER HAVE EVEN HAPPENED. GOVERNOR NEWSCUM REFUSED TO RELEASE BILLIONS OF GALLONS OF WATER FROM NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, AND THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT WOULD HAVE MADE! I HAVE SINCE OVERRULED HIM, AND IT IS NOW RELEASED. All FEDERAL HOUSING PERMITS HAVE ALSO BEEN APPROVED, THE CITY IS YEARS LATE. GET THE FIRE VICTIMS THEIR APPROVALS TO REBUILD, AND DO IT NOW!
Trump is referring to complaints about a benefit concert that the conservative Los Angeles Times already investigated and found to have distributed all the funds. From CBS News:
The Los Angeles Times published an extensive investigation of FireAid funds, in which its journalists contacted more than 100 nonprofits listed as recipients of the concert, on the same day Kiley demanded an investigation. The LA Times reported that the funds reached those organizations and that the money was a lifeline, helping to feed survivors, clothe fire victims, provide mental health services and save animals’ lives.
“We got exactly what we were promised and we’re putting it to good use,” McManus said.
The Clippers stated that all the money has been accounted for and offered to show Kiley the receipts.
“The organization itself has actually reached out and offered to provide some visibility into how they handled the funding,” Kiley said. “I think that’s the important thing is just restoring public confidence.”
The president thus far has no public events scheduled this weekend.
