President Donald Trump warned Hamas against using Israeli hostages as “human shields” on Monday, saying such a depraved move would lead him to call all “bets” off.

“I have just read a News Report that Hamas has moved the hostages above ground to use them as human shields against Israel’s ground offensive,” the president posted on Truth Social. “I hope the Leaders of Hamas know what they’re getting into if they do such a thing. This is a human atrocity, the likes of which few people have ever seen before. Don’t let this happen or, ALL ‘BETS’ ARE OFF. RELEASE ALL HOSTAGES NOW!”

The president may have been referring to a Monday report from The TelegraphThe report said the mother of Israeli hostage Guy Gilboa-Dalal had been told her son was “alone above ground in Gaza City.”

“Today, I know that my son is a human shield,” the mother said. “And to find out that your son is a human shield — that is rock bottom.”

Hamas is holding 48 hostages, nearly two years after the terrorist group stormed into Israel and killed approximately 1,200 people on October 7, 2023. President Trump’s Monday comments come a few weeks after he said he had been the one politician who has “got the hostages out.”

The Times of Israel reported on Monday that “heavy” airstrikes against Gaza City were underway. That report comes a day after the same outlet said a new ground offensive in Gaza is “imminent.”
