WATCH: French President Emmanuel Macron Gets Slapped By a Man

French President Emmanuel Macron took a slap to the face from a man while visiting a region in southern France on Tuesday.
While leaving a high school in the French department of Drôme, the president approached a group of apparent supporters at a gate. There, a man yelled “à bas la Macronie,” or “down with Macronia,” and slapped him in the face. The man was swiftly swarmed by security.
Video of the slap circulated on social media Tuesday, and was confirmed by Macron’s staff as authentic.

According to Reuters, police arrested two people after the incident.
