WATCH: Matt Gaetz Gets Trolled at GOP Christmas Party With Award for ‘Allegedly Paying Underage Girls to Have Sex With You’
Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) got trolled at a Christmas event by someone who tried to give him a fake award over the investigation he faced for allegedly paying young women for sex.
Gaetz attended the Strongsville Republican Party’s Christmas gathering in Ohio on Thursday, where he gave a speech that was streamed on Facebook. After the speech was over, a man holding a GoPro camera got up in front of the microphone, introduced himself as “Mike with the Strongsville GOP,” and announced that he had an award for Gaetz.
As the congressman walked up and took the award, “Mike” announced that this was “the GOP Strongsville Award,” and then he offered some… unusual congratulations.
“Congratulations for your dedication using that money to allegedly pay underage girls to have sex with you”
“Oh c’mon man! You’re so full of it,” Gaetz replied. The man was then forcefully escorted off stage while Gaetz again thanked the audience and handed the fake award off to an event official.
Back in 2020. the Department of Justice opened an investigation into Gaetz as he stood accused of trafficking and paying underage girls to have sex with him. Gaetz denied any wrongdoing throughout the probe, and even though his ally, Joel Greenberg, pled guilty to multiple counts in connection with the investigation, the DOJ decided not to bring charges against Gaetz.
UPDATE: Mediaite has learned that the man who trolled Gaetz is Michael Picard, a provocateur who goes by the name Professional Douche on YouTube, and he similarly trolled Gaetz over his allegations in the past by charging into an event of his, carrying a blow-up doll, and calling it one of his “underaged girls.”
