‘We Have FOOLS in the White House!’ Trump Fires Back After Kamala Harris’ Rebuke of Arlington ‘Political Stunt’
Former President Donald Trump fired back after Vice President Kamala Harris slammed him for a “political stunt” at Arlington National Cemetery earlier this week.
In a post to his Truth Social platform, the former president — responding to Harris, who said Trump “disrespected sacred ground” by filming a video in a restricted area of the cemetery — cited support for his actions from Gold Star families of 13 U.S. service members killed in Afghanistan in a bombing outside the Kabul airport in 2021.
“I want to thank the families of our Great Warriors who have been lost to us for the way they came together as one, and thanked me for attending, at their request, the Celebration of their wonderful family members who, because of the Incompetence of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, are no longer with us,” Trump wrote. “Thank you for saying you wanted me to stand with you at Arlington National Ceremony, and take pictures, that it was your request, not mine, but it was my Great Honor to do so. I WILL NEVER FORGET!”
The former president posted numerous videos on social media from the Gold Star families in which they voiced their support for him and his visit to the cemetery, and condemned the vice president. Trump’s campaign filmed in an area of the cemetery known as Section 60, in which “political activities” are strictly prohibited. The Trump campaign went on to call an Arlington employee who attempted to enforce these rules “mentally ill” and a “disgrace.” The U.S Army issued a statement backing the employee and condemning those who “unfairly attacked” her.
Harris, in a post to X on Saturday, denounced Trump for filming in Section 60 — an area which is largely reserved for service members killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“Let me be clear: the former president disrespected sacred ground, all for the sake of a political stunt,” Harris wrote.
Trump, in his Sunday morning social media post, went on to criticize Harris over the Afghanistan withdrawal.
“Lightweight V.P. Kamala Harris tried turning it around, because they weren’t there, have never spoken to the families, and have no intention to do so. In Afghanistan, you don’t take the Soldiers out first, you take the Soldiers out last. This would be Military 101, the most basic, and the “leaders” of that Disaster should be immediately fired. We have FOOLS in the White House, and now, they are trying to solve the Hostage Crisis in Israel. Guess how that’s going to turn out?”
