White House Hits Back at House Dems’ ‘Choose Your Fighter’ Video With One of Their Own: ‘Fixed It For You’

Even President Donald Trump’s White House is taking shots at House Democrats for their attempt at the viral TikTok “Choose Your Fighter” trend, releasing its own version showcasing the Trump cabinet and quipping that “America chose its fighters last November.”

House Democrats released their original video on Thursday, posted by TikTok influencer Sulhee Jessica Woo on Thursday, where users pick a character, in this case, a Democratic lawmaker.

The video, featuring House Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-MA) and Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), Judy Chu (D-CA.), Lauren Underwood (D-IL), and Susie Lee (D-NV.), taps into a video game aesthetic, complete with character selection music from Super Smash Bros.

Flashing between members showcasing their “fighting” prowess, the clip overlays trivia in a video game selection format. Among the highlights: Ocasio-Cortez is “a Trekkie,” Clark is “not into hair dye,” and Crockett is “not a morning person.”

As the internet piled on to mock the video, the Trump administration’s rapid response account took aim on X: “Democrats not be cringe challenge. Level: impossible.”

Soon after, the official White House account published its own version of the video, featuring President Trump and his cabinet members, joking that the country already “chose its fighter.”
