Bannon Demands All Epstein Files Be Released After Musk Accuses Him of Being on Client List
Steve Bannon demanded all files related to the late Jeffrey Epstein be released to the public after Elon Musk accused him of being on the infamous “Epstein list.”
“They have to go to the court and demand and unseal the sealed evidence in Epstein,” Bannon said on his WarRoom podcast on Thursday. “It starts there.”
Bannon’s comments come amid a backlash among supporters of President Donald Trump, who are unsatisfied with a Department of Justice/FBI memo claiming there are no “Epstein files,” which would refer to clients of the late billionaire, who was facing charges of sex trafficking minors before his death from an apparent suicide while in custody in New York. Epstein was already a convicted child molester.
Numerous MAGA influencers have rejected the administration’s dismissal of the client list after numerous promises that far more related to Epstein would be released to the public.
Attorney General Pam Bondi has faced particular scrutiny as she claimed in February that the “Epstein list” was sitting on her desk.
Bannon took his call further than Epstein, saying a special prosecutor should be assigned not only to the Epstein files, but also to investigate supposed fraudulence in the 2020 presidential election.
“Bundle everything together. You’ve got sealed and unsealed, and release it all,” the former Trump advisor said. “Or, which I called for yesterday, appoint a special prosecutor — he should appoint a special prosecutor, a special counsel now for the 2020 election and everything after that and include Russiagate and all this. You have to do that. That should be done immediately.”
Bannon suggested the special prosecutor report directly to Trump.
“If DOJ can’t move off the dime and the FBI can’t move off the dime, it should be a special counsel to go through everything and release it all,” he said.
Bannon’s call comes after Musk accused Bannon of being in the “Epstein files.”
Bannon reportedly helped coach Epstein on how to respond to sexual abuse allegations against him in 2019, according to a book by Michael Wolff.
Musk also accused Trump of being in the Epstein files as their war of words kicked off.
Bannon has called Musk a “parasitic illegal immigrant” and called for Trump to deport him.
