This “Mad Dog” is rabid!
Chris “Mad Dog” Russo absolutely lost it on Stephen A. Smith and ESPN brass after a power outage forced him into the hallway during Wednesday’s First Take.
It all started as the show returned from a commercial break with Molly Qerim and Russo standing in the hallway after they had previously been in the studio.
“You might be wondering why we were relegated to the hallway with me and my little buddy here. We lost power. So, Mad Dog, tell us why you’re mad. I’m sure you’re not happy about this.”
What followed was a truly epic scorched-earth performance by Russo.
“If they didn’t pay Stephen A. $400 million, maybe they could pay the freakin’ bill! ESPN!” he began as Smith could only smirk.
“First, Jimmy and the fellas. I mean, goodness gracious, how dare you… squeeze me and stick me in the hallway, with lights from 2000 — look at these big stupid streets! Look at that! I don’t like that! You took me away from my site, all because you gotta pay him $150 million!”
Without skipping a beat, Russo regained his composure and went right into the next segment.
