Former NFL RB Rashad Jennings Completely Whiffs on an Obvious Wheel of Fortune Puzzle
Retired NFL running back Rashad Jennings cemented himself as a Wheel of Fortune legend on Wednesday when he blew one of the easiest puzzles a contestant will ever see.
Jennings — whose seven-year NFL career included stints with the Jaguars, Giants and Raiders — appeared on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune with fellow NFL retirees Marcellus Wiley and Jared Allen. The topic of the puzzle in question was “Rhyme Time,” and after a series of correct guesses, it became glaringly obvious that the phrase was, “Driving to Reno with Quentin Tarantino.” The only letter missing was the Q in the famous director’s name.
Unfortunately for Jennings, that still wasn’t enough. He at least had the decency to warn everyone he had no clue who it was.
“You know what? This is bad, right?” Jennings said while looking at the nearly complete puzzle. “Why don’t I know that letter?”
After spinning the wheel again, Jennings took a shot in the dark and guessed the letter P. It drew immediate groans from the crowd and a very disappointed “no” from host Pat Sajak. Right after, Wiley solved the puzzle with no hesitation.
Although it will go down as an all-time Wheel of Fortune fail, it’s in no way the worst. That title likely belongs to the man that cost himself a million dollars for failing to properly pronounce the name Achilles in a puzzle that was completely solved.
