While most Dallas Cowboys fans were heartbroken by the trade of star linebacker Micah Parsons, Skip Bayless was over the moon.

On Friday, the Cowboys shocked the world when they traded the 26-year-old to the Green Bay Packers. In search of a long-term contract extension, Parsons requested a trade from the team weeks earlier. Since then, the team and Parsons’ representation had been involved in contract negotiations.

Team owner Jerry Jones had publicly suggested that Parsons’ agent had not been negotiating in good faith.

The overwhelming majority of vocal Cowboys fans sided with Parsons — one of the NFL’s best defensive players — throughout the saga. Bayless, however, remained on Jones’ side.

When news broke of the blockbuster trade, Bayless posted a lengthy video on X/Twitter celebrating Parsons’ departure:

So, I just finished playing golf, just heard the news about Micah Parsons gone to Green Bay; and my gut reaction, as you might guess, is good riddance and good luck, Green Bay, because you just overpaid for the overhyped Micah Parsons who will never be able to live up to that money — especially in Green Bay, where I don’t think he’ll ever be happy living!

I have said this for months on end. He wrecked games in his rookie year, but the league figured him out. The league caught up. He’s just not consistently impactful for the last three years. He has driven me crazy, leaving me wanting more — especially in that home playoff game against the Green Bay Packers. Packers, did you not watch the tape? You just bought into the hype. Congratulations.
