Trump Won His Sixth Club Championship of the Year By a Whopping 10 Strokes With Sparkling 3-Under-Par Round — White House Claims

For the sixth time in 2025, President Donald Trump has claimed victory in a club championship at one of his own courses — this time with a sparkling round of 3-under-par.

According to a post on the White House’s X account, Trump was victorious in the Senior Club Championship at his Bedminster, NJ property — clobbering the competition by 10 strokes in the net competition (which accounts for each golfer’s score, with handicaps not factored in), and edged the field by 1 shot in the gross competition. (The gross competition factors in handicaps. Trump claims a 2 handicap, and thus his 69 net score is reduced to 67, when his handicap is subtracted.)

The White House post did not specify the course — of the two at Trump Bedminster — on which the club championship was played. The old course has held numerous prestigious tournaments — including the 2023 LIV Golf Invitational. In that event, six-time major champion Phil Mickelson shot just 1-under-par total for three rounds. To be clear, the course setup likely would have been much more difficult for that 2023 tournament. Still, both courses on Bedminster are widely considered to be very difficult. A 3-under-par round at either track, under any conditions, would be a highly impressive feat.

That is — of course — if it is on the level. Last week, a viral video appeared to show Trump getting an assist from his caddy, who casually tossed a ball in a favorable lie, which Trump seemed to be en route to hitting.

Accusations of Trump’s cheating on the links have been widespread for many years.

“He cheats like a mafia accountant,” sports writer Rick Reilly alleged, in a 2019 CNN interview. “He cheats crazy. He cheats whether you’re watching or not. He cheats whether you like it or not.”

Reilly, for his book scrutinizing Trump’s golf boasts, interviewed George “Buddy” Marucci — a prolific amateur golfer who nearly defeated Tiger Woods in the 1995 U.S. Amateur championship. Marucci claimed he won eight club championships “tops” over 45 years.

The White House, on Saturday, said Trump won his sixth in 2025 alone.
