Retired NFL star Tom Brady received a warm welcome in Wrexham fashion when fans of the soccer club started a foul-mouthed chant in his direction.

Brady on Sunday was in Birmingham, England for Birmingham City’s League One match against Wrexham AFC. The seven-time Super Bowl champion owns a 3.3% stake in the team.

In what was dubbed the “Hollywood Derby,” the match was actually a star-studded affair. Brady was seen with soccer legend David Beckham; and actor Rob McElhenney — co-owner of Wrexham — was also in attendance.

When Wrexham fans packed their section the stadium, they greeted Brady with a chant fitting for a rival owner.

“Who the fuck, who the fuck, who the fucking hell are you?” the fans repeated as Brady walked past them.

The 47-year-old acknowledged the fans with a smile and a thumbs-up and continued walking.

Ahead of the match, Brady praised the atmosphere.

“You can feel the energy in the stadium,” Brady said on the Sky Sports broadcast before. “We’re excited. It’s going to be a great match. If you love football, you should be watching this tonight.”

Birmingham went on to beat Wrexham 3-1. The teams were second and first in League One, respectively, at the end of the match.
