Anthony Cumia Will Be on Fox’s Red Eye Tonight
One week after SiriusXM fired him for a series of racially-charged tweets, Anthony Cumia will make his first television appearance via Fox’s Red Eye.
Cumia landed in hot water last week after posting a long string of angry tweets about a black woman who had allegedly punched him in Times Square late one night. SiriusXM eventually canned him as co-host of Opie & Anthony, lamenting his “racially-charged and hate-filled remarks.”
Since then, the shock jock has been outspoken on his Twitter account about the firing, and has talked to a few print outlets on the matter, but this will be his first post-firing appearance on cable news.
He confirmed the news himself:
RT @esteevius: Is @AnthonyCumia going to be on #RedEye this Friday?
-Why, yes I am.
— Anthony Cumia (@AnthonyCumia) July 10, 2014
Cumia has been on Red Eye many times over the last five years, and the show dedicated a segment to exploring his remarks this week:
Red Eye airs at 3 a.m. ET on Fox News.
