Benedict Cumberbatch Debuts ‘Doctor Strange’ Trailer With Help From Jimmy Kimmel

The newest installment of the Marvel universe is coming in the form of Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange, protector of Earth, who is being played by Benedict Cumberbatch in the upcoming film. Tuesday night marked the world premiere of the two minute teaser trailer, and Cumberbatch’s character — not to be confused with Peter Sellers‘ Dr. Strangelove, as you’ll find out — made a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live to mark the occasion.

“Do you do balloon animals?” Kimmel lazily asked to judge his guest’s superpowers, who “conferenced” in to Jimmy Kimmel Live moments before the trailer premiered.

The move to visit Kimmel may not be so ‘strange’ after all, considering Kimmel’s buying power in the celebrity world and the relationship between Marvel and ABC, the network that carries Kimmel’s show (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is a Joss Whedon creation on the network).

Watch the above clip and trailer from ABC. Doctor Strange is due out November 4, 2016.
