Bernie Sanders: Donald Trump Is a ‘Pathological Liar’

vlcsnap-2015-12-20-10h43m12s601Normally soft-spoken Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders pulled no punches when attacking Donald Trump Sunday, saying on ABC’s This Week that the GOP frontrunner was a pathological liar.

Host George Stephanopoulos asked about the interview he had just had with Trump, in which Trump accused Sanders of being a liar. “I tell you, it’s rather extraordinary. I think– and I say this straightforwardly– I think you have a pathological liar there,” he responded.

“I think much of what he says are lies or gross distortion of reality,” Sanders continued. “He’s been saying over and over again that he saw on television thousands of people in New Jersey celebrating 9/11, the destruction of the Twin Towers. Either that’s true or or not true.”

“From what I understand, there has been a lot of research, they archive what goes on TV…” he said. “Nobody has seen a tape celebrating the destruction of Twin Towers in New Jersey. It doesn’t exist, and he keeps claiming it. That’s called pathologically lying.”
