Bill Maher Rips ‘Drug Addict’ Rush Limbaugh’s Freddie Gray Hypocrisy

Unsurprisingly, the death of Freddie Gray and the Baltimore unrest that followed dominated most of the conversation on Friday night’s Real Time with Bill Maher, with the host at one point comparing Baltimore cops to the Catholic Church given that both believe themselves to be “infallible.” But Bill Maher also attempted to address various takes on the case coming from the right, such as Rush Limbaugh‘s observation about “how many times the police did not kill Freddie Gray.”
“They say, ‘Where are all the black fathers?'” Maher said, echoing comments from Sen. Rand Paul and others. “Well, you put them in prison.”
As Limbaugh said on his show, Maher pointed out that Gray had been arrested 18 times before the one that ultimately left him dead, “mostly for possession” of drugs. After paraphrasing Limbaugh’s comments, Maher added, “Possession, Rush? You’re also a drug addict. And you never got busted for possession.”
