Bristol Palin Finishes Third On Dancing With The Stars Finale
Controversial Dancing With The Stars contestant Bristol Palin took the stage for the final time a few minutes ago, participating in a “Cha-Cha Challenge” with her fellow finalists. Though Palin put up a good fight, it wasn’t enough to help her win a mirror-ball trophy—host Tom Bergeron just revealed that she placed third in the competition. As most people predicted, actress Jennifer Grey ended up with the win.
Palin, characterized as “the shy girl next door who’s transformed into a dancer and become a surprise contender” by Bergeron, wore a sensational fringed outfit as she twirled and shimmied with partner Mark Ballas to the tune of Pink‘s “Raise Your Glass.” I’m no dance expert, but Sarah Palin‘s eldest seemed to clean up pretty well in her last dance.
The show’s judges had nothing but praise for Alaska’s former first daughter. Len Goodman said she’d never seen Bristol dance so well. Bruno Tonioli agreed, saying she did a “fabulous job keeping up with those two.” Carrie Ann Inaba said that she and Ballas “inspire hope” when they dance. She ended up garnering a score of 27 out of 30, a respectable sum that was nevertheless the lowest of the final three. Palin ended up finishing third overall as well, below Kyle Massey and Grey.
